The historical district is all set to make itself modern. The IT dealers in Kota have reason to smile. SOHO and end users, which is the major segment for IT, are craving for all the IT products like PC, Laptop, MP3, Printer, etc.

Speaking to itVARnews, Proprietor, Malviya Informatics, Sandeep Malviya said, "Kota is flourishing in the IT business. We have achieved 100 per cent growth in this year. There is more demand of PCs and Laptops among the end users."

Sandeep, who has a HP showroom is also the distributor of HP in the region said that his company deals in products like PC and Laptops. He added, "We have tie- up with HP. We also provide good service to the customers. So people come to us because of the good

brand and service."

So service in this region is not a problem. The Industrial Capital provides service to many IT brands. Speaking about the popularity of the IT products in the region, Proprietor, Bright Computer, Sunil Malab said, "The demand of IT products in the region is unbelievable. There is more demand among the end users. The IT market is growing at 60 per cent in the region."

Sunil deals with all kind of IT peripherals and brands like HP, Lenovo, Compaq, and has a tie- up with HCL.

The industrial presence is also helping IT to make a mark of itself. "There are numbers of industries in Kota. So they also need PCs and Laptops in large numbers," said Proprietor, Shrinath Computer and Infotech, Giriraj Manjaria.

"IT demand" continued Manjaria, "is more because of the students. They are the major segment in this region. Now Universities are also asking for PCs. So there is a lot of demand of IT peripherals in Kota especially PCs and Laptops are in h

igh demand."

The industrial capital is truly growing in a good speed in IT sector. Many dealers reiterated that IT is growing at more than 50 per cent in the region. If IT growth continues in such growth, it will take not much time for the historical city to become an IT hub.
