Nokia, ITC e-Choupal Partner to Empower Rural India

Nokia and ITC Ltd have recently entered into a partnership to provide new opportunities to rural Indian communities and farmers. This joint initiative, which will offer relevant, personalized agri services on the Nokia Life Tools, is aimed at enhancing the potential for sustainable livelihood creation and improving the quality of life of rural households.

As per the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Nokia and ITC will collaborate to offer Nokia Life Tools consumers enriched content available in ITCs e-Choupal network in the areas of commodity prices as well as updated information on the agriculture sector. Together Nokia and ITC will have the opportunity to reach out to a much larger audience and deliver relevant news, alerts on schemes and other information directly to hundreds of thousands of Nokia users who subscribe to Nokia Life Tools.
