Microsoft India has signed a MoU with the Gujarat government with an intention to enhance the adoption and use of IT in the state education sector.
The month October 2008 can never be forgotten by Gujarat which has changed the complete scenario in Gujarat when CM Narendra Modi has announced the entry of Tata Nano to the state.With the successful implementation on Tata Nano project in Gujarat, the state has become the centre of attraction for most of the vendors. In fact, the IT vendors have now started showing their special interest in investing in Gujarat. A month back HP has organized road shows focused especially on Gujarat and Rajasthan. Recently software giant Microsoft India has signed a MoU with the Gujarat government with an intention to enhance the adoption and use of IT in the state education sector. The agreement was signed in the presence of Honorable Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi at the "Vibrant Gujarat" Global Investors Summit. On choosing Gujarat, Karan Bajwa, Director – Public Sector, Microsoft India, said, "Today Gujarat is symbolic of the best in India. As it moves into its next stag
e of the development process and focuses on enhancing it's the socio-economic index, we believe IT will play a key enabling role. A continued focus on education is imperative to help people achieve their potential. We are proud and excited to partner with the state of Gujarat in its efforts." Not only software giant, the printer giant HP has organized special campaign in Gujarat and shows their special interest in the state. Under the campaign, HP has done the efforts to enhance their reach and channel base in Gujarat and believes that partners can find exiting opportunities in the region. In the road shows, HP took charge of educating final tier partners and consumers especially the SMBs. "Gujarat is an interesting state. The industrial growth is excellent and looking at the potential focusing more on generating awareness about our products. In Gujarat the adoption is very vast so to increase the awareness we have organized the campaign to enhance our reach to the
se markets in terms of products and partners and consumers," said Ajay Rawal, Country Category Manager, Volume LaserJet, HP India. When the world is facing the huge impact of slowdown, Gujarat is creating new history of being most flourished state by observing new business opportunities which will help in developing a stable economy despite the global recession.
