Micro Focus holds its First COBOL User Group Meeting

The event covered topics such as “Future of Enterprise IT Systems” and “COBOL - 50 Years and Beyond”.

Micro Focus International plc organized the first COBOL User Group meeting in India at the Hotel Chola Sheraton in Chennai. Industry experts and users came together to share the latest developments in COBOL and discuss how organizations around the world are taking their Enterprise IT systems to the next level. Mark Haynie, CTO Modernization from Micro Focus delivered the keynote address followed by guest speakers from LIC and Dr. Shri. D. B. Phatak, Professor from IIT Mumbai.   Ashish Masand, Country Manager, Micro Focus India said, “We are delighted to see the overwhelming response we got at the event today. The event saw participation from Micro Focus, its partners and the developers committed to COBOL. It provided a platform to share thoughts, innovative ideas and learn from prominent industry experts.”   The event covered topics such as “Future of Enterprise IT Systems” and “COBOL - 50 Years and Beyond”. erprise IT Systems, Application Modernization and Application Migration. There was a special customer key note from LIC where the topic of discussion was “COBOL Protecting Life – the LIC Story”.
