Specific to LG India, there will not be any major changes in terms of product pricing as there has been no major relief in duties. We welcome the relaxation in excise duty from 16 % to 14%. However, for a manufacturer, as we are exposed to open competition with the various ASEAN countries, some relief on raw materials and intermediate goods would have made our industry competitive globally.

Dear Mr.Moon B.shin, In the month of aug 09 i bought a 1.5ton lg ac.To b frank i bought lg only because some of my friends told me lg is good in quality and service but now i\\\'m sorry to say this lg s the worst in service and the response.last two months i\\\'m trying to do my 1st service i already couple of times spoken to ur call centre people\\\'s they gave reference no\\\'s and said our executive\\\'s will call in next 24hours but till now i didn\\\'t got any calls..ref no\\\'s-c102231568 &c1030710400..now agan i registered online complaint also.com no-1003100.. so can you pls solve ths issue asap. my contact no-9840605091

I am extremely disappointed to state that the service mechanism of LG India is absolutely rubbish!! I would request you to take immediate action to stop the damage. It all started with our family going for the double door, some 720+ litre refrigerator. We planned to get it installed over the weekend however at the assigned visit time the person did not come, so I gave a phone call. I understand while taking care of so many product installations and deliveries, you may miss one. My image of a korean company was of high quality products backed with high quality after sales service. Its rather disgraceful and lets not even go there. Now for some facts: I have given multiple phone calls to your call center number- 18001809999 ; but there has been NO HELP extended so far for the refrigerator. The call center representatives do not let the supervisors speak to the customers, let alone escalate the issue. I have made several phone calls and spoken to many representatives, no use.... After getting totally exhausted I tried to go the website to put an online complaint. But even there, service team has done a great job that they have put a blockage. The appointment date field on the page for complaints keeps showing an error, so you cannot lodge a complaint as well!!!! Dear, I purchased a LG Flatron TV from Next Shop, near Netaji Nagar Tollygunge Kolkata- 700040 on 3rd Oct 2009. As we know LG is a very good and reliable brand but I am very sorry to say that I am not satisfied with the service which the above mentioned dealer is providing. Within 3 months It is having some problem and also shop is not available means shop has closed. Problem: When I move the left button of sound then it is loud and when move the right button then it is low. In this condition plz help me to sort out the problem. Also you are requested to please take some corrective action and try to resolve the problem asap.

Shin, I have bought a Top Loading LG Washing Machine (WF - T7519JG) from EM DEE Electronics, 1/206/40, Sadar Bazaar, Delhi Cantt. vide Bill No. EM - 1028 on 13/2/2010. On the same very day I had called up your service centre and spoke to an executive, Mr. Sandeep who gave me a complaint no. C1021326612 towards Demo and Installation. I had also requested that the service engineer should visit me along with the Trolly and cover as had been advised by the dealer. On 14/2/2010, I had made repeated phone calls to your call centre to confirm if the service engineers was visiting. I had also called the Service Centre, Fairdeal Associates, Raj Nagar Extn, Ghaziabad at Phone no. 9711997878 and spoke to Mr. Dileep who said that trolly and cover was not available with them and he promised to send the service engineer on 15/2/2010 along with trolly and cover at a mutually agreed time i.e. 8PM as I come back from office at that time. But to my dismay, till now when I am writing this mail to you i.e. at 9.55 PM, nobody visited me. I am antonished and pained by the pathetic service of your company. May I also tell you that I had chosen LG over IFB only for the sake of service. I would like to return the LG product tomorrow.

Dear , I bought LG LCD 32LG80 FR from BISMIS Appliances, Near International Stadium ,Kaloor ,Kochi-17, on 09 Feb 2010. As we all now LG is a very good and very reliable brand but im very sorry to say that im not satisfied with the service which the above mentioned dealer is providing. Till this date noboday has come to my house for installation. I have called them many time every time they are telling sir today it will be done and i don't no when that today will come. You are requested to please take some corrective action so that the name of the company should not go down because of such type of dealers attitude towards customers

Dear Sir, I have purchased an LG AC last year from Xcite showroom in Aundh, Pune and from day one I am facing issues with cooling. I have made 3-4 complaints to the showroom and the LG service center. Every time a person comes from LG and do some experiment on my AC. Till today it has not resolved and after so much mental pain I am writing to you so that I will get an permanent solution. Please find attached the history of interaction with all LG and showroom service people. From past one year I am allowing them to rectify the issue but now my warranty will get over in next month and then no one will listen to me and I have to bear the cost of ill-functioning piece provided to me. Request you to please take some immediate action. As I understand even after multiple services/support/repair the AC is still not working fine so there seems to be some manufacturing defect. According to me replacement seems to be the only option otherwise I will have to pay for its repair, post warranty, all my life. Dear Mr. Shin, I would like to bring to your attention to the ongoing problems I have been facing with the service team in regards to the LCD TV I owe. I had written to you earlier pertaining to the plight of my situation, to which the Service Manager had contacted me and visited my residence to discuss the issue. But unfortunately instead of resolving the problem with the set, I have been told that the LCD TV cannot be repaired and would be returned as in condition. The reasons being stated are completely ridiculous and unacceptable. In the month of November I was told to take up the AMC of the LCD TV. I duly did so as per the advice of the visiting service engineer. At the time of taking up the AMC I shared the purchase invoice of the product with the service engineer. The service engineer agreed to the condition and sold me the AMC for the product for 1 year without any reservations. Recently when the service engineer visited us post our complaint, he requested the purchase invoice to which I openly informed the service engineer that I do not have the purchase invoice of the product as the invoice had been misplaced. This was it. Suddenly, the service engineer found this to be a reason and told us that the product could not be repaired without the invoice. I questioned him as to what the invoice had to do with the servicing of the product? Its an LG product and not of any other brand that I am asking them to repair, so why would they not repair the product. But then I realized that ever since I have put up this complaint to you, my plight has become bad to worse. I have had to face numerous rude instances from the service team who stated that writing to you would not in anyways help in resolving the situation and that I have made a mistake in doing so. He also stated that his promotion was stalled because of my complaint. Now, the service team has come back to us, in writing saying that the system cannot be repaired. They are claiming that the LCD TV has been tampered and the AMC is not valid. How more outrageous can this be? How could your team take up the LCD TVs AMC during November and revoke the same in January, especially when the TV has come in for repair. More infuriating is the face that they are stating the LCD TV has been tampered?? Who would tamper his own TV at home?? And if I would be intelligent enough to repair my TV, why would I pay for the AMC??? Why is the invoice being asked for now, and was never bothered at the time of selling the AMC to me?? Why was the TV not checked for tampering and why were we not informed so at the time of collecting the TV? Infact no one has ever told us so, until we filed the written complaint. Suddenly the TV has got tampered out of the blue for the only reason that they do not want to repair the TV. I am sick and tired of all your service engineers who are falsely implicating us to avoid repairing the LCD TV, all because I raised my voice about the miserable standard of services they have been providing. Why am I being made to suffer for buying an LG LCD TV from my hard earned money? I am only wanting my LCD TV to be repaired and returned as per the AMC policy and terms. I am not asking for a new TV in replacement or monetary compensation! I request you to please resolve this situation. I refuse to collect the LCD TV without it being repaired and made operational. We were curious enough to ask him as to how he could arrive at his conclusion to which he replied in a very offended manner, that he was a certified and experienced engineer to know the problem, and we should not be question him on his profession. He then informed us that the official service van would arrive at our residence the next day on 26th of Dec, to have our LCD TV collected and concurrently provide us with a stand-by product for the service period. Obviously as expected of LGs standards, no one turned up as scheduled or informed us of any change in itinerary. We received a surprise call from a gentleman named Shamshad on the 29th of Dec, who said that he had come from LG and was waiting at our door for collecting the LCD TV. We informed him that we were not available in the city, and it would have been better had they informed us earlier of his grand arrival. Anyways, the LCD TV was finally collected the next day on the 30th of Dec. And thank you, for the Stand-by LCD provided to us, we have never seen any worse condition of an LCD TV, seemed like it belonged to the stone-age. Old, broken and rickety. (I hope LG isnt in a similar condition) But as unassuming consumers, we resigned to fate on the quality standards of your service team, with the only request that our LCD TV be repaired and returned to us at the earliest. We were spontaneously told that the LCD TV would be repaired and returned the next day itself. The day next we received the most harrowing call of our life from LG. A gentleman named Mr. Amit Wasan phoned us to inform that this particular model of the LCD TV is apparently an imported version from the company and that they cannot service or rectify the product of its problem. They suggested that we should come over and have the LCD TV collected from the service centre and absolutely nothing could be done about it. (Ohh and they were kind enough to suggest us that we should go and buy a new one, when we asked what we should be doing now). Wow. This is the most preposterous experience I have had with any brand in my life. I always thought government agencies were the worst. How ridiculous is this? I buy your product and you refuse to service it a year later???? On what grounds??? That its an imported version and you dont have the spares!!!!!! Dear Sir, It gives me lot of pains in writing to you.My repeated communications with your representatives in HARYANA had yield no results.I have purchased Refridgerator GL-528YLQ4.DPLQEBN on 31-05-2009 from \\\'sunder cold store and industries,gt road, kundali\\\' of amount Rs.27111.It had some problem from day one. I would like to bring to your notice a problem with regard to my LG microwave which is a convection model. It was purchased 6 years ago on 29.06.2003 from Jamshedpur. The model no is MC808WAR. We had changed the panel in the month of May 2007. There was no guarantee provided to us then.The panel on the microwave has stopped working since the month of September2009. I had logged a service request with your customer care centre in the month of September vide W9C91205039 for the repair of the same. The service center in Ahmedabad tells me that since its an old model spare parts are not available. I am sorry to say that your services are pathetic. If the model brought out by the company are old does it mean your customers are supposed to throw the appliances in the bin if they stop working???????????? I also logged a call on your website in the month of October for which I have received no revert. Your service engineer in Ahmedabad has asked me to write to you and says there is nothing much he can do to help me. I think you seriously need to rethink you advertisement regarding customer service. Now I need to understand if the company is going to help me out with this or not????????? Within 2 days after commissioning by your service engineer , the machine broke down after our repeated complaint your service engineer came And removed some damaged part from the washing promising he will replace the part within 2days but after almost 10days he didnt show up and my repeated queries doesnt Yield any positive result because your Chennai, Nandanam Service department Event dont have the courtesy of responding my call. Dear Sir, We have purchased a refrigerator (Model: FF 478YLQ,422LTRS ) on 13th September 2009 from Kohinoor Tele Video,Vashi,Navi Mumbai.The same was delivered on 15th.The technician visited next day and set the refrigerator on testing. We saw lot of frost formation in the freezer section and when the technician visited again we showed him the same.He advised for changing a part of the refrigerator.As it is a frost free model, how come the new fridge is having this problem? From the day of installation I have been complaining that the external unit of the Air conditioner seems to have heavy condensation as water drips continuously from the same. Hi Moon B. Shin, It is with regards to the 21 inches Flatron TV bought from LG on 28th Sep2008.From day first the problem of colour patch was visible at the corners of the TV screen. Complaint was made and problem was attended in time. This problem reappeared against after 2months.Again complaint was made and problem was resolved.This happended for thrice. At last I had to call up Mr. Anil Wadhwa (9811354667) who send an engineer who identified that there is a problem with the picture tube. Finally the TV was replaced with New picture tube. It worked fine for 4 months. Again same problem reappeared (6th Sep 08).Customer care was called up & again same part was changed. This happened for 3rd time after replacing the picture tube. Now the engineer (Shiv Rawat-9711901702) says that they will take the TV away to their service center and will give a stand by and find the root cause.I called Vaishali- 9811354152 n no of time since last 5 days but went unanswered or busy. Now let me state that after buying the TV most of the time the TV has been either in faulty state or under repair leading to disappointment. I do not want any further repair and request you to kindly replace the TV or refund the amount immediately else I am left with no other option than to file MRTP Complaint & write to Consumer forum. I m following up with your people and ASM but your engineers are visiting and telling that so much noise will come in this model and I feel they are running away from their responsibility. It is pathetic and shamefull for LG that your company cannot first make good quality products and then give so so poor response. It is a sad state today and LG products look good only on commercial advertizements but not actually. I m sad , upset and angry and want my product refund if not then atleast to be replaced with better model. My experience of using LG products in Korea and India is totally opposite. I will never ever buy your products again, i promise. Your claims are abnormally high and your actually quality is abnormally low. If anyone is still listening then I expect an immediate action so that my time is not wasted further. I am the unfortunate to own a LG fully automatic washing machine. I have made number of complaints for repairing the same but nobody has come out with a solution.The service centre at ALWAR(RAJASTHAN) must be the worst service centre and most unprofessionally managed. It is better to close a service centre like this one since nobody is giving any service but only befooling customers.

I would like to bring to your kind notice the harassment I been going through your call and service centre. I had made a complaint (No. N9C 6260 8855) regarding the water being discharged in the room from the split AC on June 26, 2009 at 1 p.m. and was informed that within 24 hours your complaint would be attended. On June 28, 2009 from 11 a.m to 4 p.m. and made around 8 call to your call centre and much to my surprise the people working in call centre were not sure whether the service centre works on Sunday or not. I was given cell and landline number but no body from your Comfort Service Centre, Faridabad (Cell No. 9811354730 / Tel No. 0129-403596) was picking up the call. After my 7th call to the centre around 3 p.m. I was given a number of Mr. Anzar, Service Engineer who was supposed to come to attend the complaint. Finally, with great difficulty I managed to speak to Mr. Jaspreet Singh from LG Service Centre Gurgaon, who assured me that 99% your complaint would be attended by this evening i.e 28th June. I would like to inform you that more than 60 hours have passed and the complaint has still not been attended. If this is the kind of attitude and customer service being provided by your service centre to its customer then there is a big question mark on your future and it also gives LG Global a very very bad name!! You are aware that It takes Months to get a customer and Seconds to loose one.

Dear Sir, I wish tobring to your notice that I have LG TV of Model 21FA2AG-A9 with the serial No: 903MGJS007716 purchased on 22-03-2009 and i have reported color change problem on 27-06-2009 with the complaint No: 2706200954314 has been attended on 27-06-2009 by 19.30 hrs and found to be OK till night and by 28-06-2009 morning the problem has been re-surfaced. Hence I kindly request you to replace the item. This request i am making as my earlier TV of AIWA make never had such kind of issues for almost 11 years and I disposed it only during March 2009 and I purchased LG TV on 22-03-2009 under the assumption it will work without any kind of problem by comparing the product with LG refrigerator. Dear Sir this is probably the 2nd time i am writing to you, your useless employess in your Kolkata branch offices work & behave like Government employees .I have purchased a refridgerator on 22-06-05 .Now the refridgerator Model GLT242QM (MS) has developed rustsonits outer body. Will the intensity of current of these audio / video in/out wires be seen by way of touching a electrical line tester? What are the specs of your company for this? If a DVD player or TV shows current in audio / video out / in wires whether that product needs replacement? Is that a serious problem?

I had purchased one 32 inches LCD colour TV (32LC7R#TS)from United General Agencies, Bikaner on 16 May 2008 (Unit S.No 801LPH 7001985). At the time of purchase I requested to check/test the piece I want to purchase but the dealer assured that this being the LG company product and under gurantee/warantee, there is no requirement of the check/test. Still, I insisted on check/test then the dealer assured that their mechanic is going to install it so if there is any problem he will replace it.During the installation of the TV, there was a sound problem (manufacturing) in the TV. The mechanic went back on the condition that the piece has problem and he will convey this to the dealer and they will replace the piece. But to surprise the dealer did not pay any attention and after almost 15 days the mechanic came with the repair of the TV instead of replacing the piece. After this I was forced to lodge a complaint in Consumer Court. On 17 April 2009, I was informed that the Company is ready to replace the defective piece. Now, the dealer is refusing to sign the warranty card for the new (replaced) LG LCD TV. The dealer is quoting that this is the Company Policy. May, I know that just because of the Company prob, I was without TV for exactly one year and now the dealer is saying that the warranty will not be given for the new piece !!!!! DearSir, I had purchased one LG PLASMA TV 32 PC 5RA (ATR), Model no. 32 LG 30, Sr.No. 809LPFJ000171 on 15Oct 2008 from dealer M/S KINGS ELECTRONICS PVT Ltd. ,Palm Beach Road ,Nerul, Navi Mumbai. Invoice no for the said purchase is CTV 71172/0 Dated 15.10.2008.The unit was delivered to me on 16.10.2008.I thought, I shall be viewing in style & comfort but it was rude awakening. With in 2.5 months of buying the plasma TV ( On 04.01.2009) at around 2100 hrs when TV was being viewed darkness erupted from boundary of LG plasma TV screen and within 10 seconds no picture (Video) was visible on screen though audio could be heard. This occurred along with a crack sound. A crack of 3 length at lower right side of plasma TV screen was visible. Complaint no. W 9C 10500191 was lodged at 0900 hrs on 05.01.2009 with LG customer care service. Mr Sunil Gupta, the technician who visited my home on 06.01.2009 on behalf of sevice centre , Vashi confirmed that visual display got broken and same would be replaced at the earliest. Again one request ID NO. W9C 10703763 was generated on 07.01.2009. My repeated complaints & requests at service centre Vashi (Phone no. 022 65100909) & customer care (Phone No. 022 39010909) went unheeded. When you buy a TV of a particular brand, you keep the companys reputation in mind and expect that if there would be any problem the company would step in to help you. But here situation is entirely different. The delay in rectifying the problem has caused mental agony, emotional distress, harassment and doubt about commitment of LG India Limited towards fair practices code. In view of so much delay in making the unit operational, could you please confirm & clarify whether 1. 1. The Plasma TV sold to me as brand new was in fact old & defective. 2. 2.The TV had any manufacturing defects that were beyond rectification. 3. 3. If parts as mentioned by service centre are replaced ,same fault will not re-occur and how long will it take to rectify the problem. 4. 4.Can you direct the concerned executive in Mumbai to replace the whole unit itself? we complained about LG Microwave being dead, on 02.06.2008, vide no. WBC60203325. No one attended. On 5th June we left ourself MIcrowave to ASC ..Reliable Electronics.. vide job card no. 2857. No one attended to repair inspite of daily telephoning. Fed up of it, we took back equipment on 14.06.2008.Staff at service centre was reluctant and very rude, when we demanded equipment unrepaired.

It's really a shame that a microwave oven i purchased in 2000 at a price over 15 K, broke down several times. Now the company refuses to service the product. The Area Service Incharge does not even take my calls. What to expect of a Company that treats its customers in this fashion?
