Creative Technology is getting aggressive with its multimedia range of products especially the portable speakers in the market.
To make further inroads in the market, the vendor is now taking the path of aggressive and competitive pricing against the smaller brands.
According to industry watchers the MNC brands sometimes lose out to local players due to
the price factor. Talking about the company's strategy Rajshekhar Bhatt,Sales and Marketing Manager, Creative Technology said, “We would be
bundling more deals with other Creative multimedia accessories. Also we would be adding new models especially in the low price and mid range segment. In addition, technologically will add more features in our new models like bass control, volume control at about the same price.”
Bhatt sees lot of opportunities in the portable multimedia segment. The company has set its sight in the growing demand of portable speakers from
the notebook and portable audio player user segme
nts. It will offer complete solution for the user including sound card and stand-alone decoder
for CE and gaming segment as a part of its strategy. Divulging details on the channels plans, he said, “We have quite a few plans which includes demo
center, channel schemes, road shows etc to push the multimedia products.
Today with the help of our distributor we are been able to reach across India and constantly working towards increasing our range and reach across India.”
The vendor claims of a growth much more than the PC growth rate. “This is since our speakers can easily be connected to any audio source without
the need of any additional amplifier and becomes an ideal budget home theater solution for CE segment,” said Bhatt.
Creative is targeting at doubling its number this year.
