COM-IT Expo 2007' - Sets The Benchmark For IT In India

Over 125 brands participated in the exhibition in COM-IT Expo.

Trade Association for Information Technology (TAIT), an industry association set up in 1996 organized their maiden exhibition and conference in Mumbai titled "COM-IT Expo 2007" focusing on Computers, Peripherals, Networking, Software and Solutions.R. Siva Kumar, Country Manager South Asia, Intel Technology inaugurated the event.

Over 125 brands participated in the exhibition, set up in an facility setup to international standards at the MMRDA Exhibition Grounds, BKC Mumbai making COM-IT Expo 2007 the largest exhibition in India in its very first appearance.

Prominent pavilions were set up by Asus, Intel, Logitech, Moserbaer, Samsung, and prominent displays from AOC, D-Link, LG, HP, Microsoft Hardware, MGE, Sandisk, Soperton, Xerox and Samsung.

Other majors which marked their presence were 3 Comm, Amconics, Bafo, Canon, Clipsal, Cisco, E-Scan, Fujitsu, Gigabyte, Gemini, Genius, Hitachi, HCL, HIS, IBM, Kaspersky, Kensington, Kingston, Lacie, Linksys, Lenovo, Ne

tgear, Reliance Mobile, Quick Heal, Razer, Sparkle, Seagate, Swann, Topcomm, Transcend, Wipro, Zen, Zion and Zyxel amongst the many others.

TAIT had put in all efforts to go out to address all cross sections of audience viz the IT channels, Enterprise, SME/SMB's. Soho and computer enthusiasts with a cross section of above the line and below the line activities encompassing, hoardings, radio, newspaper ads, specialized media ads, direct mail of invitation cards, bus-back banners, distribution of flyers outside major colleges of Mumbai, running of promo commercial in major malls and shopping complexes…. but the most important activity that generated the footfalls into the event was the personal effort of all TAIT committee members who sent out email and sms invites to their list of clients and customers.

Over 35,000 excited visitors thronged the exhibition over a span of four days from a wide cross section of target audience. Pleasant surprise was the visits from the IT
