Microsoft India Appointed Karan Bajwa As New Group Director For Public Sector

Microsoft Corporation India Pvt. Ltd. Announced the appointment of Karan Bajwa as Group Director, Public Sector. Microsoft India is committed to finding technology solutions that enable the government in its mandate of delivery e-governance services to its citizens, expand the quality and reach of educational opportunities, and find new ways to grow local economies. Bajwa, who has over 19 years of experience, will oversee the growth of the Microsoft in the government sector and drive strategies on e-governance and education.

Welcoming Karan Bajwa into the company, Neelam Dhawan, Managing Director, Microsoft India, said,The function of the Public Sector group is central to Microsoft's mission of bridging the digital divide in India. It has been a challenging but good journey so far “ and we âre sure that we can leverage Karan's expertise to scale newer heights.

Bajwa, who has just started his tenure at Microsoft, said ,The Public Sector group at Microsoft India is an

exciting place to be in “ there is so much potential in the country to leverage the power of IT and reach it to the millions currently not benefiting from it. I look forward to strengthening the relationship with governments and educational institutions across the country.

In his last assignment, as President, Tulip IT Services Ltd, Bajwa secured landmark wins for the organization. He has successful stints as the Head of the Public Sector Business, Cisco India; and as the Head for the Networking Business for ASEAN region at IBM Singapore.
