HCL Inaugurates Noida Technology Hub

HCL inaugurates Noida technology hub to build technologies of the future.



The HCL Technology Hub at Noida, National Capital Region of Delhi, was inaugurated by Kamal Nath, Hon'ble Minister of Commerce & Industry, in the presence of Chief Guest Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, Hon'ble Former President of India. P. Chidambaram, Hon'ble Finance Minister presided over this function.

Dr. Kalam in his key note address outlined his vision for the transformational role of technology in shaping the future of India and the world. Chidambaram and Kamal Nath also spoke about the role of technology in enabling growth & development. A HCL technology Hub is also coming up in a 28 acre location on Jigni Road, Near Electronic City, Bangalore. The Hub will be operational next year and will house 10,000 employees.

HCL Technologies Ltd is expected to invest to the tune of Rs 1000 crore ($250 million) in the HCL Technology Hub; which is envisioned to become the crucible of knowledge sharing, fermentation of ideas and the incubation & development of powerful next-ge

neration intellectual property.

The 46 acre verdant facility will have 2 million sq. ft of space for 15000 professionals developing technologies for the future; and generate revenues in excess of $1 billion annually. This Tech Hub will set a benchmark in 'green' buildings, compliant with and exceeding international standards in energy efficiency, safety and security.

Speaking on the occasion Shiv Nadar, Founder - HCL, said, "Since its inception 3 decades ago, HCL has always dared to dream fearlessly and is responsible for many firsts in the computing landscape. We could well be called a 'Pioneer of Modern Computing'. Today we are daring to dream again for our collective tomorrow by 'Building Technologies of the Future'. We shall be extending such technology hubs beyond large cities, to the Tier II cities of Nagpur, Madurai and Lucknow; truly taking technology to where the talent is."
