Allahabad: Coming Out Of History To Be A Part Of IT

There has been constant growth in IT sector in the ancient city of Allahabad.



The historical city of Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh is home to Hindu mythology and is one of the largest ancient cities in India. But the very fact that the city is among the oldest in our country has not stopped its growth in the Information Technology sector, rather, there has been constant growth in this sector in the ancient city.

The IT market in the Allahabad is expanding at a fast pace. The channel partners are expecting a good growth rate in the near future. Speaking to itVARnews, Director, Shree Enterprises, Sandeep Agarwal said, “We are sure about the fact that in the coming times computers will exist in every nook and corner of the country. From my own point of view I would say that the IT industry is growing at a rate of 40- 50 percent every year�.

Echoing the similar thoughts President, Allahabad Computers Dealers Association, Vipin Agarwal added, “The development of IT industry is evident from the fact that IT fair is being organized in Allah

abad for the first time�.

The detailed analysis of the IT market in Allahabad revealed that the brands like Lenovo, Compaq, HP and HCL are among the most selling ones.

In this regard, Director, Allahabad Management & Legal Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Arunav Ray commented, “HCL, HP and Compaq are the sure shot winners. But other brands like Lenovo, Zenith, Samsung and LG are also doing good business�.

The main target segment in Allahabad includes Corporate, SOHO and Government sector. Describing the segment situation, Partner, Ban Infoservices Pvt Ltd., Ashish Goyal said, “I focus 80 percent on Government segment and 20 percent on SOHO segment depending on the demand�.

Although the sales are increasing but the service support remains an issue of concern. Addressing the issue of service support, Arunav Ray added, “The service support of HCL is creating a lot of problem. There is delay in providing the services to the clients and the reason behind thi
