Four new ViewSonic models launched maintaining the market share momentum.

ViewSonic Corporation, a leading global provider of visual display products, announced the launch of the four new models of projectors—the PJ506D, PJ556D, PJ588D and PJ358 for the Indian market, strengthening the commitment of meeting the diverse presentation and entertainment needs of offices, classrooms, homes and religious sanctuaries.

The PJ506D and PJ556D models are launched for the organizations that require outstanding performance on a budget, enabling the display features scaled to fit needs of the offices. With plug-n-play designs that are easy to install and use, the 2000 lumen models PJ506 and PJ556D features an 800x600 SVGA and 1024x768 XGA of native resolution, respectively. The projectors are capable of producing the bright images and clear video, along with an ECO mode, which extends the bulb life and reduces the voice disruptions during presentations.

“As ViewSonic rolls out new offerings for the home entertainment market, we’re also main

taining our focus on business and education applications, said Managing Director of ViewSonic Asia Pacific Region, Alan Chang. “From fully featured, ceiling-mounted projectors for university lecture halls, to portable projectors for corporate road warriors, ViewSonic is continuing to deliver innovative display products for many applications he added.

Elaborating on the projector range, Country Manager, India, ViewSonic Technologies, Gautam Ghosh said, “This new projector range has been launched by ViewSonic to serve the need of diverse applications like presentations, movies, gaming etc for the benefit of the Indian users. We will continue delivering on our commitment by bringing efficient projector options to serve the growing needs of Indian multinationals. “

The PJ588D is a DLP model which has 3,000 lumens of brightness and a 2100:1 contrast ratio, which can display crisp, detailed animated presentations or video conference calls at a 1024x768 XGA native r

esolution. The projector supports multiple inputs, including RBG, composite and S-Video, and also can display video sources on a remote monitor to allow presenters to see what is being projected on the screen behind them.

For added convenience, users can unplug the PJ588D at the conclusion of a presentation, saving valuable “cool down time without risking damage to the bulb. Its feature set also includes a “daylight mode; an integrated ambient light sensor that detects lighting conditions and automatically corrects picture settings to deliver optimum image quality in any setting; an Eco mode that can extend the life of the bulb up to 4,000 hours; and enhanced security features to prevent unauthorized usage and theft.

For mobile workers or businesses seeking a versatile, portable projector, the PJ358 LCD projector packs 2,200 lumens of brightness and a 1024x768 XGA resolution into a sleek, compact device weighing less than 4 pounds. Featuring exceptional versa

tility, the PJ358 has a USB port that allows users to present images including JPG and M-JPG directly from a USB flash drive, eliminating the need to travel with a PC.

It can also project a 60-inch screen image from less than five feet away, allowing users to present big ideas in small rooms. With a remote control, whisper mode, security features and auto-keystone correction for easy set-up, the PJ358 offers features that fit a variety of business needs.

The PJ506D, PJ556D and PJ588D also incorporate the Texas Instrument’s DLP® technology, an industry leading display capability with other innovative features.
