SITA Elects New President

South Gujarat Information Technologist Association (SITA) has successfully appointed Ketan Patel as its new President.



South Gujarat Information Technologist Association (SITA) has successfully appointed Ketan Patel as its new President. SITA plays an important role in the IT market of South Gujarat, which comprises of Surat, Ankleshwar, Bharuch, Navsari, Valsad and Vapi.

The election took place on 10th July where Ketan Patel replaced Bharat Randheri. Patel was a member of SITA for the last11 years. Chetan Desai and Unnat Mehta have been given the portfolio of vice-president and secretary respectively.

Speaking to itVARnews, President, SITA, Ketan Patel said, "SITA is a strong association in Gujarat which has its own office with a strength of 200 members. This is my 12th year in this association and after the elections, responsibility of the dealers and association is a priority for me."

Talking about the agenda of the association, Patel said, "Every year we organize fun trip for our members. This year also we have similar plans. Secondly, we are planning to organize exhib

ition and IT expo in Surat, which is the biggest event of the year. We have added some changes by introducing software and hardware educational seminars for the dealers to give them enough knowledge about the products, payments, piracy and similar other issues."

SITA has actively participated and worked for the IT market of Gujarat for the benefit of the dealers and distributors including the end users. The association's primary motive is to have more business opportunities and acceptance in the IT industry.
