CMDA Pune Elects New Member Body

Computer Media Dealers Association (CMDA) Pune has elected its new President for the year 2007-08.

In order to achieve high goals and duping of channel partners cases Computer Media Dealers Association (CMDA) Pune have come together and floated a new member body. The election was held on 23rd June at Mahabaleshwar where Sunil Gugale of United Peripherals was elected as president and Sheetal Nahar of Nahar Integrated Systems & Services Pvt. Ltd. as Vice President.

Speaking to itVARnews, President, Computer Media Dealers Association (CMDA) Pune, Sunil Gugale said, “CMDA Pune is among the popular IT associations of India and it’s an honor to be the President of this association. The prime objective for the association is to bring unity and confidence among all its members. For the coming year we have come up with various new plans and strategy which will contribute a lot in the outgrowth of our association.�

The association has its special meeting on 5th July where the other important members of the association like joint secretary and executives will be ele

cted and the agenda for 2007-08 will also be finalized. It has 295 members who are operating from different parts from the region and they are planning to embrace more new members in the association by the end of this year.

In the coming year the association will continue with its Mega IT Exhibition 2007 in the month of December. He added, “This is the only official IT expo of Pune. We have received a very positive response from previous year expo and around three lakh visitors from all over Maharashtra visited our expo. The event will continue for four days where various interactive sessions will also take place. We have already received 20 participants for it. We are optimistic about it as various new brands will get their platform in this event.�

The association is also reworking towards its members by identifying the job responsibility of all its members, so that work should be allocated in an organized manner.
