Acer Unveils the First Santa Rosa based Notebooks

Acer launches the first Intel Centrino Duo Processor Technology based Notebook in India - the Acer TravelMate 6292.



Acer India, the 3rd largest PC vendor in the world, has announced the launch of its latest TravelMate range notebook based on Intel's latest mobile platform, the Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processor T7100. This will be the first Intel Centrino Duo Processor Technology (codenamed Santa Rosa) platform based (12.1� wide ultra portable) Notebook being launched by any brand in the country and continues Acer's long tradition of being the first to launch the latest technology in the market.

With single minded focus on designing products that offer a user-friendly experience and anticipating the growing need for high performance, the TravelMate 6292 uses the Intel Core2 Duo mobile processor T7100 (2 MB L2 cache, 1.8 GHz, 800 MHz FSB), supporting Intel 64 architecture, the latest Windows Vista? Business operating system, Mobile Intel GM965 Express chipset and the Intel PRO/Wireless network solution for excellent speed and performance, better

graphics and signal integrity using the Wireless platform.

With a 12.1" WXGA Acer CrystalBrite TFT LCD display and system memory of 1GB RAM upgradeable up to 4GB, the Acer TravelMate 6292 line comes equipped with battery life up to 7 hours. The Acer ePowerManagement allows you to choose the power management setting to extend the battery life.

Additionally, the latest proprietary Acer SignalUp and Acer GridVista technologies have been incorporated into this notebook for more reliable wireless connectivity as well as optimized and feature driven display management.
