Sterlite Optical announced the launch of Sterlite BEND-LITE (E) Single Mode Optical Fiber specially designed for FTTx networks and applications.

Sterlite Optical Technologies Ltd., India's only global provider and integrated manufacturer of optical fiber announced the launch of Sterlite BEND-LITE (E) Single Mode Optical Fiber specially designed for market requirements of FTTx (Fiber-to-the-Home/Premise) networks and applications.

Sterlite BEND-LITE (E) Optical Fiber is an ideal choice for Triple-Play (voice, video and data) service networks and access network installations that require very small bending radii. Sterlite BEND LITE (E) Fiber supports these installations for cable mounting inside & outside premises. The fiber's enhanced bend radius capabilities enable tighter routing, higher fiber density for component design and deployment of fiber in central offices, subscriber equipment, back-plane solutions, and premise wiring.

Sterlite BEND-LITE (E) complies with or exceeds the ITU Recommendation G.657B and has a low water peak at 1380 nm, characterized by attenuation at 1380-1390 nm band being less t

han that at 1310 nm. The fiber is designed for high resistance to additional losses due to macro bending at 1310, 1550 and 1625nm wavelength windows.
