AKCMADA plans channel beneficial strategies

Posted on May, Monday 07, 2007 By Vibhu Sharma

AKCMADA has chalked out some channel beneficial strategies.

The Kerala based association, All Kerala Computers Manufacturing and Dealers Association (AKCMADA) has come up with some channel beneficial strategies.

Commenting to itVARnews, President, AKCMADA, Harikrishnan said, “We are working towards benefiting channel partners in this region. As part of this strategy, we are very interested in arranging training sessions for our channel partners as this will help them in building strong relationship with the vendors and the customers.”

As part of its current strategies, the association is planning to tie up with various mother board manufacturers to educate the assemblers on proper assembling and fine tuning methods. AKCMADA intends to conduct training seminars for different product categories on a timely basis.

AKCMADA is the only association in India that has tied up with Suse Linux for Linux certification for the reseller community. Explaining about its other initiatives, Harikrishnan informed, “We had also pro

vided Rs.1 lakh Personal Accident Coverage to the employees of some dealers two years back in order to make them aware about the advantage of insurance coverage at negligible costs. Moreover, we are putting all efforts to make the dealers take the PA/medical insurance for their employees as a habit.”

The association is of the view that both resellers and manufacturers are not there to make short terms gains, and all the problems can be solved only through discussion. Replacement procedures of manufacturers are the main problems and pinching of key employees without notice period, of dealers is another.

Apart from this, AKCMADA will be conducting its general body elections in near future and after that it also has plan to organize an IT exhibition in the region.
