VAIT chalks out plans for future course

Vellore based IT association VAIT has formulated plans for its future course of action.



With the association's new committee being formed in the last week of March 2007, the Vellore Association for Information Technology (VAIT) has formulated its plans for the coming year.

The newly elected office bearers took charge from April 1, 2007. The newly selected office bearers have decided that the association will focus on conducting not only the training sessions but also interactive sessions for its members.

Speaking to itVARnews, President, Vellore Association for Information Technology (VAIT), Suresh Babu said, “We are entering in to the fifth year of our inception. During the past four years, we have achieved remarkable developments both in our business and association. The credit of success, in our achievements, purely goes to the cooperation and self-interest shown by each of our members. Development is the main aim of our team and we assure to work in the same way to spread the banner of our association across the entire region.”

Moreover,

the association has also plans to add up more activities with the aim of developing the relationships between the vendors and the channel partners. Apart from training sessions, there will be discussions on self-development, business promotion and issues on identifying the demands of the market and then, soliciting the same. “Members will also be introduced with new technology and other products, so as to increase the number of product ranges not only in information technology but also in allied fields”, Babu added.

According to the association, the channel partners in the region face a lot of issues related to warranty and now the association will work on this front by organizing some interactive seminars. These sessions will provide a platform to channel partners to present their views to the respective vendors. Elucidating more on this, Babu stated, “As of now, we will be discussing the issue of genuine software with Microsoft at a meeting scheduled for April 30, 2007 in Coi
