UP IT Associations come under one roof

In order to take the grievances of the channel partners of entire UP state, all the major IT associations in the region have formed a new dealers association.

With an aim to take care of the grievances and issues pertaining to the IT market of the entire state of Uttar Pradesh, all the major computer dealer associations have united and formulated a new IT association called as ‘Uttar Pradesh Computer Dealers Association’.

In a meeting held in Lucknow on Sunday April 15, 2007, the newly formed association has elected some members for important positions like President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.

While speaking to itVARnews, Vice President, Uttar Pradesh Computer Dealers Association (UPCDA), Ajay Grover said, “The newly formed association is a joint venture of the dealer associations of the different cities of UP region. This will help us in taking the issues of the channel partners of entire state rather than focusing on one particular region.”

The representatives are from the associations of Allahabad, Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Meerut, Agra and Moradabad. The meeting was attended by one member o

f all the above mentioned city’s associations.

Explaining more on the association’s agenda, Grover informed, “The main aim of the association is to take up the problems of the channel partners, whether it’s with the vendors or the end users.”

The newly formed association UPCDA’s member count is around 35 members and in the coming months, it intends to take this count to around 200 members.

“As of now, we have decided upon only the major positions of the board members and the other remaining positions will be decided when we will have election after six months,” Grover added.

The new decided committee members are:
·President – Rohit Kohli, Comexal Technologies (Kanpur)
·Vice President – Ajay Grover, Foretech Systems (Meerut)
·Secretary – Manish Malhotra, Tritech Enterprises (Allahabad)
·Treasurer – Pankaj Aggarwal, Docket Care Systems (Lucknow)
