East Delhi Computer Traders create association

To fetch recognition and bring all East Delhi dealers under a single platform, the East Delhi Computer Traders Association (EDCTA) has finally formed a full-fledged governing body.



To fetch recognition and bring all East Delhi dealers under a single platform, the East Delhi Computer Traders Association (EDCTA) has finally formed a full-fledged governing body.

Ravikant Gupta of Comhard Systems has been elected as the President of the association on mutual consent. While 12 names were tabled, five governing body members and seven council members were appointed on mutual understanding along with the association members’ consent.

While talking to itVARnews, President, EDCTA, Ravikant Gupta said, “EDCTA was a long standing desire of various IT dealers and resellers of East Delhi. We started this association with 15 members in December and within three months we have more than 40 members in our association.”

As far as the purpose is concerned he said, “The idea behind this association is to unite the dealers of East Delhi channel community under one roof. Here, we will solve out all the fraudulent practices in the market, specially the defa

ulter problem that is the major hurdle in the success of the IT business in India. In every meeting we share a list of defaulters. Our another purpose is to create awareness among people about the other various brands and products which are not as popular in the region.”

He added, “We are also requesting various eminent vendors like Samsung, LG etc. to start their service centers in the various parts of East Delhi including Wazirpur, Yamuna Vihar etc. We are also planning to create a website for the association so that more people will come to know about us.”

In last three months EDCTA has achieved most of its targets like delay and slow payment was one of the major issue in the market, which has been solved by them. Services have also been improved with association’s efforts.

Speaking about association’s future agenda, Gupta said, “In the coming years we are planning to increase the strength of our members. Also we are planning to conduct elections next year and
