ITTA to work aggressively for channel community

The ITTA of Pondicherry has formulated certain plans to cater to the needs of the channel partners.



The Pondicherry based Information Technology Traders Association wants to work aggressively for the benefits of the channel community of the region. The association has drafted certain plans that will revolve around this goal.

In a discussion with itVARnews, President, Information Technology Traders Association (ITTA-Pondicherry), P.N. Prasad said, “We have been working very strongly for the channel partners all over the region since last two-three years. In addition, now we intend to take up issues that are affecting the growth of IT development of the region.”

The ITTA conducts meets every month to take up the matters and issues that are bothering the IT channel community. Keeping in line with its aims and goals, the association along with all other associations will be working together to fight against the IT vendors.

Over a short span of time, the channel partners of the region are grappling with the issues related to service, warranty and other similar

problems. Elaborating more on this, Prasad stated, “The channel partners in the region are struggling with such problems. Of late, it has been observed that the IT vendors are taking the channel community for granted. They are not concerned about the problems the channel partners have to face and they refuse to work for their benefit.”

The ITTA has decided that they will not only make the channel partners aware but also make the customers aware about all such problems. According to them, associations need to be stiffer in their approach and pull the vendors, even if that comes to boycotting any company.

Apart from making the channel aware the, association will also interact with the respective vendors to solve these problems. However, this will be done only after formalizing the formation of Confederation of ITTAs that include the participation of associations from regions like Pondicherry, Vellore, Trichy, Coimbatore, Salem, Erode and Madurai.
