The exhibition highlighted the growth of the IT industry in the region and immense opportunities that it has in store.
The four day long IT Expo in Madhya Pradesh, the ninth Phono.Edu.Com 2007, ended with a good response from visitors and participants. The event was inaugurated on March 17, 2007.
The exhibition highlighted the growth of the IT industry in the region and immense opportunities that it has in store. Most of the exhibitors were pleased with the proceedings of the exhibition.
Speaking to it VAR news, Director, Latest Devices, Bhupendra Gaur said, “We received an overwhelming response especially for our Lenovo products. We generated good business queries that our enough for next two months. We showcased our complete range of products including Lenovo, Intel, Intex, HP etc.”
Agreeing with the above, Director, HLBS Tech Pvt. Ltd., Mitesh Kumar said, “We are the first OEM entering retail market. We experienced good response and sold around 40-50 PCs per day for our own brand Hinum.”
The second day of the expo witnessed award presentation and felicitation c
eremony by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan who presented awards in various categories. In the SME sector, awards were given to Coral Business, Latest Devices, Taurus and Microsystems. In the education category, awards were given to Netlink Software&Training and Frankfinn. The awards in the employment category were given to L&T, Tata Power, Kirloskar, Reliance Communication, Tech Mahindra, Suzlon, HCL and in IT excellence category awards were given to 3i Infotech and Red Hat.
In the ‘Media- Best News Coverage’ category, the award was given to IT PRICE VAR in Bhopal.
The IT exhibition was organized by the Indus group in association with IASSCOM and Department of IT, MP State Government. The main objective of the participant companies was to introduce their new technologies in India and to improve relations with existing clients as well as to develop new contacts.
