Through this partnership MSI expects to get a good leverage in terms of reach, volumes and availability of entire product range.
MSI, manufacturers of high-quality motherboards, Graphic cards & notebooks has announced the appointment of Ingram Micro, the world's largest wholesaler of technology goods, and Transtek Infoways Pvt. Limited, one of India's upcoming IT distributors, as its new distributors in India.
Commenting on the new tie-up, Country Manager, MSI India, Frank Sherap said, “Ingram Micro would be able to provide us increased Volume and Geographical reach where as Transtek will focus on right product mix along with another added values. This partnership will not only help MSI to increase its volume in terms of sales and revenue but also allow us to promote entire product range i.e. from entry level products to High end products.”
Ingram Micro would be distributing AMD platform based motherboards where as Transtek Infoways would be focusing on Intel Platform. MSI Graphic Cards would be second product line distributed by both of them. The company feels that distributors like Ingra
m Micro can contribute to increase volume by huge sales of entry level product where as Transtek can make reasonable sales of entry value products and can also focus on product with higher margins (Mid level & High end products).
With this appointment MSI would be able to make deeper penetration in upcountry regions through its distributor’s branches. MSI would be announcing special rewards for these newly appointed distributors sales team to push the throttle on.
Talking about the new business tie-up, MD, Transtek Infoways, Rajeev Sood said, “We look forward to this partnership as it is a way of opening new horizons for Transtek. MSI has a good product range and we will be focusing on the Intel platform and graphics cards range. We will be focusing on reseller and SIs to further push these products in the market.”
With the addition of these two MSI would not only able to grow in terms of sales & volume but also able to create market space for high end products.
