OCCDAN EXPO 07 kick starts in Nagpur

The IT Expo 07, organized by Nagpur based association OCCDAN has started since February 23 in the city.



The IT Expo organized by Nagpur based computer dealers association ‘Orange City Computer Dealer’s Association’ (OCCDAN) sponsored by Logitech has been inaugurated on February 23, 2007. The event will run till February 26 and its venue is E-Expo grounds, Central Bazaar, Nagpur.

Director South Asia, Logitech Electronic India Pvt. Ltd., Moninder Jain and the Minister of State for PWD, Anil Deshmukh have inaugurated the fair, which is called ‘Logitech EXPO 07’.

Speaking to itVARnews news on the occasion, President, Orange City Computer Dealer’s Association, Nitish Singh said, “Nagpur is considered to be one of the fastest growing IT markets of Maharashtra and this event will further help in boosting the market here as it will be a platform to showcase all the latest technology and the major brands.”

All the major IT brands like Logitech, Intel, Xerox, Acer, Epson, HP, HCL, AMD etc. are participating in this event. This fair has 15 pavilions and around 60 stall

s. A footfall of over 1, 00,000 people is expected at the fair and the target segment comprises of end users, resellers and channel partners not only from Nagpur but also from the surrounding regions.

When asked about the aim of organizing this event, Singh said, “The main aim of organizing this event is to spread more and more awareness about the IT industry. All the participating vendors will highlight the products and services that are now integrating into IT & Infotainment as, we sincerely wish to bring consumers on the IT super-highway to experience the developments in the IT industry”.

The fair will also conduct some interactive seminars and sessions for the channel partners and the consumers, that will focus on educating and updating them about the latest advancements in the IT industry.
