MSI appoints Basant as national distributor

With the induction of Basant India Limited as the national distributor for MSI Barebones range, the company has introduced their fifth product line in India.

Micro-Star International (MSI), manufacturers of high-quality motherboards, Graphic cards & notebooks has appointed Basant India Ltd. as its national distributor for the Barebones products in India. With the induction of Basant India Limited as the national distributor for MSI range of Barebones, company has introduced their fifth product line in India.

Commenting on the new tie-up, Country Manager, MSI India, Frank Sherap said, “Our current partners are distributing motherboards, VGA cards and PC, and we have appointed Basant especially for the Barebone products. Basant has a good SMB market and it will surely give us an advantage.”

MSI Barebone range consists of five series namely LCD PC, Mega PC, Midas, MPC, and Slim PC. Initially LCD PC and Slim PC range of barebones would be available in India through Basant India branches. Gradually other series of barebones would also be available in India by the end of this year.

Talking about his new business tie-

up, Director and CEO, Basant India, Gaurav Aggarwal said, “MSI is a leader in the most of the products because of its high quality and competitive prices. There is more demand for notebooks but Barebone is soon going to follow. People are becoming aware of the Barebone products and the demand is going to increase, seeing a good growth potential we have tied-up with MSI and focus on the niche market.”

Basant will be targeting corporate segment and channel sales. The distributor will also focus on media promotional activities and various road shows. The service will be provided by MSI through its service centers.

Few of the key barebones products available in India are Crystal 945, Axis 945GM and Axis 700 Lite. Crystal 945 is a LCD PC which integrates 17 “LCD Panel, ODD, FDD and Stereo Speakers. Axis 945GM and Axis 700 Lite are Slim PC based on Mini Itx form Factor.

Currently Barebone products are being showcased in some selected retail outlets in Delhi and Gurgaon.
