With the aim to tap into the fast growing PC gaming market in the country, Logitech, a leading PC peripherals company, has decided to build up its channel distribution strength for its PC gaming accessories product.
With the aim to tap into the fast growing PC gaming market in the country, Logitech, a leading PC peripherals company, has decided to build up its channel distribution strength for its PC gaming accessories product. The vendor has added a second distributor Neoteric Infomatique to its channel. Till now only Rashi Peripherals was addressing the gaming accessories market.
With the new appointment Logitech hopes to increase its product penetration considerably. Elaborating on this strategy Moninder Jain, Country Manager, Logitech Electronic India Pvt Ltd said, “Rashi Peripherals has been doing an excellent job of pushing our gaming devices. This new appointment will help to further improve penetration of our gaming devices in the market. We will further be able to enhance the availability of Logitech Gaming peripherals across the country. Neoteric has a proven track record in IT distribution and we are pleased to extend distribution of Gaming products to Neoteric. Together with the tw
o distributors we are looking ahead at substantial gains in customer base, volumes and market share in this product category in the country.”
Neoteric will distribute Logitech steering wheels, gamepads, joysticks and the newly launched MX Series of gaming mouse in India. “The gaming market is booming in India, currently PC Gaming is more than 80% of the total gaming market, which includes Console Gaming and PC Gaming. The demand for gaming peripherals is growing very fast. It is exciting times for PC gaming and there is a strong impetus to drive growth for gaming peripherals,” he added.
Post this tie-up the vendor is planning to launch a series of marketing activities that will help increase both consumer and channel awareness about gaming and gaming peripherals on the whole. “We will drive the momentum in gaming market with a series of activities like emailers and innovations on Indiatimes targeting more than 10,000,00 consumers,” informed Jain. The company is also working ou
t details of various retail programs for partners focused on selling gaming software and hardware, gaming events, special offers on gaming peripherals which will be announced in the coming month.
Talking about the big business opportunity that this new tie-up provides Neoteric, Sandeep Shah, General Manager, Business, said, "There has been a massive growth in the entertainment industry recently and the gaming segment is no exception. We have recognized the boom in gaming and the emerging opportunities that this industry offers. Logitech gaming market in India is strong and reliable and with this tie-up we are all set to make a mark in the gaming industry." In fact this new product addition is part of Neoteric’s new business strategy, whereby the distributor is looking at strengthening its position in the consumer IT lifestyle product market.
