ASUS India introduces the gigabit smart plus switches

The GigaX 1116i+ and GigaX 1124i+ networking switches are the latest offerings of the company for the SME segment.



ASUS India announced the introduction of two more products in its networking product portfolio. The GigaX 1116i+ and GigaX 1124i+ networking switches are the latest offerings of the company for the SME segment.

Because of their great flexibility, performance and security, the ASUS GigaX 1116i+ and the GigaX 1124i+ provide the optimal solution for small and medium size enterprises.

According to Product Manager, Networking Business, ASUS India, Altaf Ansari, Both these switches provide features which allow easy manageability and cost effectiveness simultaneously, thus optimizing the overall resource utilization of the networking infrastructure of an SME environment. The ASUS GigaX 1116i+ and the GigaX 1124i+ are built to enhance the latest technology scenario.

The ASUS GigaX 1116i+ and the GigaX 1124i+ are Web Smart 16 and 24 port Layer 2 Gigabit switches respectively with 4 SFP (Mini Gbic) for fiber connections. They offer advanced manageme

nt features to system administrators that are normally available from a Managed Layer 2 switch - but only at a fraction of the cost.

With support for 4 SFP slots, these two switches provide higher uplink bandwidth and also greater redundancy for your connections when used with the trunking feature. Through the user-friendly web-based management tool, MIS professionals and even average networking technicians can easily setup VLANs, priority queues, link aggregation, port mirroring; and utilize the other striking features.

For greater security, both these ASUS switches support both IEEE 802.1x port-based network access control and Access Control List (source IP filter). Also, ASUSs unique Q-FAN feature automatically adjusts the fans speed according to the systems loading and temperature to reduce fan noise for a quiet and peaceful environment.

Lastly, both models provide ASUS Centralized Networking Management (ACNM) as well as auto MDI/MDIX, duplex mode
