IT India Fair 2007 begins in New Delhi

IT India Fair 2007 organized by ITPO was inaugurated on Jan 30, 2007 at Hall No. 7, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.



One of the most sought after fairs in the IT field, IT India Fair 2007 organized by India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) was inaugurated on Jan 30, 2007 at Hall No. 7, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The four-day event will run till February 2, 2007.

The fair is supported by Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communication and IT, Government of India and Software Technology Parks of India. ABN Amro Bank is the sponsor of the event and Haryana is the partner state.

Speaking on his experience, Marketing Manager, AvSoft Technologies, Jagdish Mishra said, "Last time the event was organized in a better way but this time it’s not that good as expected. The publicity has not been done properly. The footfall is also lesser than expected but we are hoping to receive some good response in coming days, as it's the first day only." Senior Business Development Executive, Stellar Information Systems, Sandeep Kamal echoed the same thought saying, "The response a

nd number of visitor expected is not upto the mark as it's the first day but we are still expecting some good business deals to be closed in the coming days."

The IT India Fair mainly aims to provide an ideal platform to launch new products, services and explore possibilities for marketing, export, E- governance, investment and joint ventures in IT field.

On one hand where the first day could not fulfill some participants' expectation, the day proved out to be lucky for some of them. Director, Simple Marketing, Goldie Dhingra said, "The response is just too good and we are getting very good exposure here. The event is acting as a brand building activity for us as well. Its just first day now and we have already received three major orders thus, we are hoping for more business in the remaining three days."
