Dell adds Inspiron 1501 to its award-winning line of notebooks

New Dell notebook delivers enhanced value for consumers and small businesses.


Dell announced the introduction of the Inspiron 1501, a new notebook computer for consumers and small businesses with powerful features that provide enhanced value for everyday entertainment and productivity. The new notebook is the first from Dell to offer AMD processor options.

“Dell’s vision for mobile computing and breadth of offering is leading the industry,” said Vice President & General Manager, Dell India, Rajan Anandan. “As much as we deliver product innovation with our award winning XPS systems, we’re also committed to helping consumers and small-business customers get more out of their technology investment to meet their everyday entertainment and productivity needs.”

The Dell Inspiron 1501 - an important addition to Dell’s Award-Winning Inspiron range of notebooks - further strengthens Dell’s strategic focus on the rapidly expanding home and small business marketplace. The Dell Inspiron line is targeted at individuals and small-to-medium sized business

es that require high-performance computer systems at aggressive prices.

The Inspiron 1501 packs features and performance previously reserved for higher-end Dell notebooks including a 15.4-inch widescreen display and the power of optional dual-core processing. The arctic silver and alpine white Inspiron 1501 carries the Windows Vista Capable designation.

For product services support, the newly upgraded Dell Support 3.2 is a free application for XPS, Inspiron and Dimension systems that takes the science out of system maintenance, by continuously scanning the customer’s computing environment in the background before sending the relevant auto-fixes, updates and drivers. It also provides support and product information that is specific to the user’s PC.

The Inspiron 1501 comes with the following new customer benefits:
· Mobile AMD Sempron, Mobile AMD Turion 64 or the Dual-core AMD Turion™ 64 X2 mobile technology as options
· Integrated wireless networking

· Standard with 512MB shared3 memory and 60GB hard drive; customers can upgrade to 2GB3 memory and 80GB hard drive

· New integrated graphics with up to 256 MB of HyperMemory5 performance enabling excellent entertainment and casual gaming experiences

· Standard 3-in-1 media card reader easily transfers digital files from cameras and MP3 players

· A 15.4-inch widescreen display with optional TrueLife technology

· Wide aspect screens which can provide up to 30 percent more viewable area over standard aspect XGA display6

The Inspiron 1501 starts from Rs 41,754 and is available now with one-year Next Business Day Onsite Service and support.
