The new Dax DX-5012GS is a high-performance layer 2 managed switch.

Dax Networks, one of the top three networking companies in India, has launched DX-5012GS, a high-performance layer 2 SNMP managed switch. Priced at Rs.77, 520/-, DX-5012GS has 12 10/100/1000 Base-T ports and 4 gigabit SFP shared ports. DX-5012GS can be deployed as the core switch in SMB networks and at distribution points of large campuses.

The highlight of the switch is the resilience it provides. DX-5012GS offers comprehensive network management functions such as Spanning Tree protocol, SNMP, RMON and Web based management.

DX-5012GS has an advanced network security mechanism to protect networks and network services from unauthorized access by remote users. DX-5012GS provides multiple security algorithms such as Port security, SSL, Web Management Encryption, RADIUS and TACACS+ to protect data communication to ensure data privacy.

With IEEE 802.1p Quality of Service (QoS) feature and layer 3/4-packet classification, DX-5012GS provides the capability to prio

ritize various tasks on the network, a crucial function for integrating voice and data over a switched network. DX-5012GS ensures proper flow control and bandwidth management in a network to differentiate between time-sensitive VoIP applications and other network data transmissions.
