WD's Popular WD Passport Portable Storage Device shrinks in physical size, grows in capacity and keeps your data secure and in sync.

With today's consumers increasingly carrying their personal digital belongings with them, Western Digital Corp. announced that its newly redesigned WD Passport Portable Drives have grown in storage capacity and have shrunk in physical size, and are now shipping. Featuring a stylish, ultra-portable design and sleek, piano-black finish, WD Passport is available in capacities of 60, 80, 120 and 160 GB, fits easily in your pocket or purse and weighs less than 5 ounces.

WD Passport simplifies the synchronization of essential personal files and Microsoft Outlook data on a PC making it easy for consumers to take desktop content with them. WD Sync software enables users to securely access, edit and share Microsoft Word documents and Excel spreadsheets, MP3 files, e-mails, attachments and more from anywhere - in a cybercafé, on a friend's laptop or in a colleague's office.

And should owners misplace WD Passport, they know their data is protected with 128-bit encryption.

Google software on the drive allows users to easily locate files with the Google Desktop Search(tm) search tool, manage photos with Picasa(tm) photo organizer software and simplify Web searches with the Google Toolbar(tm) search bar. WD Passport Portable Drives are equipped with a fast 5,400-RPM hard drive and a USB 2.0 interface.

WD Passport Portable Drives are a perfect users' gadget, easily backing up content such as digital photos and music files from users' PCs. The portable drives are powered by the USB bus so there is no need to carry a separate power adapter. An optional cable is available for the few systems that limit bus power.
