Infineon Technologies has successfully designed an ultra-wide band (UWB) wireless chip. The UWB is a short-range wireless data transfer method.

Infineon Technologies has successfully designed an ultra-wide band (UWB) wireless chip. The UWB is a short-range wireless data transfer method.

With a blazing speed of 480 MBPS, it can be used within a range of 10 ft. This dual-band UWB Radio Frequency transceiver core designed by Infineon could be used in sophisticated cell phones, personal digital assistants, camcorders, digital cameras and MP3 players in the near future.
