Retailing has been finding its roots in the entire country. The concept of branding has engulfed the entire nation. The retail market in Southern India too is in an upbeat mood. Hyderabad based Sub-distributor Compage Computer has been operating through channel partners but its prime focus is retailing, where it views good growth opportunity.

The Sub-distributor is planning to open three new retail outlets in Southern India in the current year. It has six branches all over Andhra Pradesh. Speaking to it VAR news, Director, Compage Computer, G. Mahender informed, “We are planning to open retail outlets in Rajamandry, Vizag and Varangal. We are focusing on retail then distribution this year.”

These outlets will exclusively showcase Lenovo products and all other brands will also be available. It is focusing End-users, System Integrators and Resellers through these outlets.

The company is targeting good amount of sales with these outlets as, Mahender puts it “ We

have experienced annual sales of 104 Crores with 35 percent growth in 2005-06 but this year as we are focusing retail segment rather than distribution, so we want our sales to reach about 140 Crores.”
