Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) is releasing the RS485M-M motherboard with onboard Radeon Xpress 1100 chipset. RoHS compliant and supporting the new AMD AM2 CPUs, it delivers high quality 3D graphics and onboard VGA support using the powerful ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 integrated graphics chipset. So powerful in fact, that an extra graphics card is not necessary.

When coupled with the AMD AM2 processors, the RS485M-M motherboard can outperform most other more expensive systems and is designed for gamers and others wanting performance along with the latest and fastest 3D graphic solution without having to pay for an additional high-end graphics card. The RS485M-M is also one of the first Windows VistaT ready integrated solutions, which mean users, can take full advantage of the graphically rich user interface Windows Vista offers.

The RS485M-M supports AM2 versions of AMD AthlonT FX, AthlonT 64 X2 Dual-Core and AthlonT 64 CPUs as well as AMD's new AM2 Energy Efficient

microprocessors. AMD's new lineup of low power processors provides 35W and 65W versions of AM2 processors for increased energy savings. Unlike socket 939 and 754 motherboards, the RS485M-M supports dual channel DDR2-533, 667 and 800 SDRAM memory, which adds to its overall performance.

The RS485M-M utilizes ATI's new SB460 Southbridge to support 2 x Ultra DMA133/100/66 devices, 4 x SATA devices and HD Audio functions, which more than meets AMD's Live digital media platform requirements. With AMD Live, it is easy to create and mass distribute digital video and audio media, all within the easy confines of your home.

This new RS485M-M motherboard is a higher-clocked version of the ECS's RS482-M, with many of the same great features but with a higher-performing integrated graphics solution.
