Posted on May, Thursday 04, 2006 By News Desk

Network Programs (India) Ltd. (NPI), has announced a partnership with leading threat protection software company, Sana Security.

Network Programs (India) Ltd. (NPI), has announced a partnership with leading threat protection software company, Sana Security, to support engineering developments within Sana's Primary Response product. Primary Response utilizes a multi-behavioral approach to detect known and unknown threats on the host and client PCs without relying on signatures or scanning. Primary Response protects both connected and occasionally connected users as well as a wide range of hosts, and require fewer resources to manage, deploy and scale. Network Program helped bring Primary Response to market by providing project development services and testing and quality assurance (QA) for the core components.

"The success of Sana product launch validates the hard work and expertise of our product development team. It's always exciting to work with innovative customers like Sana that offer leading edge technologies," said Director, Security Technology, Network Programs Awita Badonia,. "The positive market

response to Primary Response establishes Sana as an innovator in the security space. We look forward to further this collaboration with the
company."

Primary Response protects both managed and unmanaged end-points and host servers and doesn't require excessive resources to detect and quarantine malicious software, such as malware, spyware, Rootkits, Trojans and key loggers. Instead, the multi-behavioral technology monitors the behavior of a number of malware pieces and how they interact to determine if they are truly malicious. The detection is in real-time and doesn't rely on scanning to keep up-to-date, therefore providing instant and constant protection.

"One of the unique features in Sana's Primary Response is the ability to detect even the stealthiest threats, like Rootkits that are aimed at the OS kernel," said President and CEO Vipin Tyagi,"NPI offered major contributions in writing the Kernel Level Module (KLM) for Solaris 9, Linux AS 3.0 and IBM AIX 5.3 op
