Posted on February, Saturday 04, 2012 By itVAR News Network

Relax, and let the smart, easy-to-use LG Hom-Bot clean your floors, reliably and quietly. Why waste time vacuuming when the smart, quiet LG Hom-Bot can do it for you? With cameras on both the top and bottom, and slim design of 90 mm,Hom-Bot precisely maps your home so it always know where it is and never misses a spot. Side brushes help clean corners and edges, and the microfiber mop is great for hard floors.

Best of all, you can schedule Hom-Bot to clean when you want, whether you're home or not, and it does so quietly. It even returns to the base to recharge itself when necessary. LG Hom-Bot makes cleaning smarter and easier than ever before.

The noise level is extremely low and picks up dust in a fraction of a second.  LG’s latest offering has the World first floor vision (OFS) which leads the floor to provide moving distance information by taking surface images 2,000 times per second. Hom Bot has the World’s first digital bumper which can vacuum and mop under your bed without any hassle.

Dual camera mapping system calculates surrounding space 50 times per second to have optimized paths. The robotic vacuum cleaner has Dual Eye Camera with one lens on the top and one on the bottom of it in order to gather more comprehensive visual data. The upper camera is also tasked with simultaneously mapping and remembering floor plans, while the lower camera is equipped with an Optical Flow Sensor that captures a myriad of surface images per second, providing distance information and plotting paths for the Hom-Bot to follow.
It has 5 ultrasonic sensors which are used to identify obstacles and prevent the redundant bump-and-retreat action The new heightened sensors are tilted upward to avoid bumping into overhanging objects.
When the robot runs on low battery, it automatically docks with station for recharging battery and resumes cleaning where it paused.

Hom Bot comes at a price range of Rs.43,990.
