Logicalis Launches Joint Venture Operation in Indonesia

Logicalis, an international IT solutions and managed services provider, has now launched its joint venture operation in Indonesia. The new company, known as Logicalis Metrodata Indonesia, was formed with leading Indonesian ICT Group, P.T. Metrodata Electronics, Tbk based in Jakarta. Logicalis has a 51% shareholding and Metrodata 49%.

Logicalis Metrodata Indonesia has approximately 25 employees reporting to a new managing director, Dewi W. Irawan, and will focus on network communications, collaboration and data centre solutions to the commercial, enterprise and service provider markets in Indonesia.
 
The Indonesian market is experiencing strong domestic growth at 6.5% (the 3rd largest growth market in Asia, behind China and India). In particular, the IT services market is also showing a period of strong growth ahead. It is valued today at over US$1 billion and with compound growth predicted at 12.7% up to the year 2014, this brings the value to one and half times what it is today.
