The Memoranda, besides trying to bring into notice the prevalent condition of the Commercial area, has made a special request to the following actions to be taken on a priority basis -

Use of Gas Cylinders and other Fire Hazardous Material to be immediately banned

Containing of all the Sub judice Street Hawkers within the ear marked area and usage only by the person having the stay order

Although this Stay order has been in existence now for over eight years DDA to be directed to expedite the vacation of this stay at the earliest

Stakeholders and Retailers from Nehru Place have earlier taken a decision unanimously to keep their shops closed for a few hours in the morning on 1st of February and to collect in large numbers at Bajaj House 97, Nehru Place to show their solidarity to the cause taken up by NIWA. The signature campaign conducted to accelerate this movement has met with an overwhelming response with over 12,000 occupants giving their consent to it. Extending their support to this cause are Associations like Progressive Channels Association of Information Technology (PCAIT), Computer Media Dealers Association (CMDA), All Delhi Computers Traders Association (ADCTA) and Export Fabrics Suppliers Association (EFSA).
