Posted on January, Monday 02, 2012 By itVAR News Network

We are presenting you some of the key trends that will redefine the way internet is perceived.

As convergence of different platforms and devices tends to involve bigger and bigger number of people on the planet, internet is surely one big realm which will be used in and out to connect and communicate.

As we look into the horizon of Internet for predictions in the year 2012, technologies like cloud or social networking are set to increase their footprint in the year 2012.  The Cloud will grow even larger in 2012. Facebook will get even more ad revenue.  And Google will get even stronger and devour the rest of the civilized world.

New Age media on the move

As more and more people go online today, people are now ready to pay for a broader range of online content. As a result, experts believe that in the year 2012, there will be a bonanza of media and technology opportunities hence, enterprise should get ready for new devices, new content, new bundles, new connection techniques, new distribution channels, new aggregators, new pads, new phones, new players, new self-published authors, new garage bands, new consumption models riding on social networks: there is nothing but high energy in the content consumer market. People are now ready to spend subscription money for this sector, and the publisher response will be huge.

Death of junk mail

Yes it is true! Junk mail will die, but not of an illness or so. In fact, experts believe that junk mail will become so personalized, so relevant to the individual recipient, that it will no longer be considered spam.

Global research firm Gartner forecasts that the investment bubble in consumer social networks will pop in 2013, and the bubble in enterprise social software companies will pop in 2014. Hence, the year 2012 surely holds big potential for internet and related technologies and devices.
