As a global delivery centre, the new site is connected to all the other centres of Xchanging and will have capability in business processing, procurement, and ITO services including software development and testing. Xchanging has collaborated with academia in the region to recruit and provide industrial and soft skills training to young employable talent. The company has also
announced that every year it will award local college and university students for academic excellence.

"India is a very attractive local market and a critical offshore destination for Xchanging," said Nimish Soni, Executive Director, Offshore Services - Asia, Xchanging. "As we continue to invest and expand through added presence in smaller towns of the country, the opening of the centre in Solan will provide us with improved business continuity, access to untapped semi-urban talent and advantages of typically low attrition," he added.

Solan is Xchanging's second processing centre in a tier-3 town of India after Shimoga. Xchanging employs over 3,400 people in India and has three of its top ten global processing hubs in Bangalore, Gurgaon and Chennai. The company made its presence in India in the year 2003 and has significantly expanded its operations in the country since then.
