Appreciating the initiative taken by Techplus Media, the Chief Guest for the evening, Shri Anurag Goel shared his insight on the present IT scenario of the state and how the region is gradually moving up on the IT map of the country. “I have been observing that the region’s IT activities were revolved mostly around retailing and trading. But now the scenario has to change and we should go beyond retailing if we need to capitalize on the growing IT landscape of the country. Our focus should be more on R&D and not on IT trading alone. The coming up of an IT park in Guwahati will give a fillip to the regional IT industry and more such initiatives are being undertaken for bringing in an IT revolution in the state,” he said.
Ms. Kalpana Singhal, Editor-in-Chief, Techplus Media on her part applauded the channel community of the region.
