WCG 2011 Selects Samsung SyncMaster as Official Monitor

World Cyber Games, Inc. (WCG), organizer of the premier international video game competition and festival, has announced Samsung SyncMaster as the official monitor for the upcoming WCG 2011 Grand Final.

Samsung SyncMaster S23A950D and S27A550H will be used for the tournaments during the WCG 2011 Grand Final. 600 Players from 60 countries will compete against each other through these monitors.

The WCG 2011 official monitor, Samsung SyncMaster S27A550, provides vivid color & lifelike picture quality that gamers have dreamed ever by supporting Mega DCR (Dynamic Contrast Ratio). So gamers can enjoy blur-free picture quality and clear images even in fast moving images like games. Furthermore, Samsung's Magic Angle technology is employed - covers a 178 degree viewing angle both vertically and horizontally, as well as delivers a crisp and detailed picture without any color reduction - so gamers can enjoy games in more comfortable environment. By adopting Eco solution, "Eco light sensor" adjusts screen brightness to match the surrounding environment and people can reduce and minimize eye strains even if they're exposed to monitor screen for a long time.

WCG will also have 'WCG 2011 SyncMaster 3D Live Match' booth during the Grand Final with EA's latest 3D game 'Need for Speed The Run'. This is an action racing game developed through Frostbite 2, the same engine at the core of Battlefield 3. At this booth, audience will be able to not only experience the live 3D from SyncMaster but also enjoy various special events. On Dec. 9thand 10th, a famous Korean star gamer Byung Gu 'Stork' Song (StarCraft I) will have special matches with the audience and also have a signing event.
