Iomega, MindTree and Tulip to Present Cloud based Digital Video Surveillance Solutions

Posted on December, Monday 05, 2011 By itVAR News Network

Iomega, an EMC company, together with Tulip Telecom and MindTree Limited, is launching video surveillance storage management solutions. The partnership is expected to provide India’s first video surveillance services based on cloud technology.

The market, which is estimated to be US$ 225 million in 2011, is largely focused on the enterprise market, and has not fully addressed the needs of SMBs and the Indian consumer.

On the occasion, Jonathan Huberman, President, Iomega Corporation, said “Iomega is helping to redefine video surveillance technology by delivering a high performance, low cost all-in-one IP solution targeting small businesses and distributed enterprises. With leading video management software partner MindTree, Iomega StorCenter network storage products deliver the latest hosted video surveillance solutions.  We are excited to join with Tulip and MindTree in delivering advanced, dependable and economical hosted local and cloud video surveillance solutions."

The cloud solution involves Iomega StorCenter network storage devices, Tulip’s national broadband network with cloud data centers and MindTree’s video management software. The solution provides superior yet economical local cloud video surveillance solutions for SMBs and distributed enterprises. The solution will be made available on all Iomega StorCenter ix and px series in India.

Iomega’s association with Tulip, leading Enterprise Communications Services provider, will enable ‘Iomega StorCenter plus’ to quickly reach India’s top 2400 businesses, currently served by Tulip over its Nationwide Broadband Network. Further, with Tulip launching world’s third largest Data Centre earlier this year in Bangalore with capacity of approx 900,000 square feet will strongly complement the product offering launched by Iomega, Tulip and MindTree together.

Iomega’s association with MindTree, a global IT and Product Engineering Services company, will provide MindTree’s SecureMind Surveillance Manager Video Management System (VMS) application on all Iomega StorCenter network storage devices. The Iomega StorCenter device along with MindTree SecureMind solution delivers a feature-rich video surveillance management application, enabling users to manage surveillance activities while simultaneously storing the video.
