Posted on December, Saturday 03, 2011 By itVAR News Network

QNAP Systems, Inc has announced that it’s Business Series Turbo NAS TS-259 Pro+ has been selected by PC-World as one of the “100 Best Products of 2011.”

The TS-259 Pro+ is ranked at 51st place, comparing with products from brands like Sony, with the Handycam HDR-TD10 (50) and HP with its TouchSmart 610 Quad (54). The TS-259 Pro + is also the highest ranking of the selected NAS products.

PC World is the most widely read IT publications in the world, with a presence in more than 49 countries. PCWorld’s 100 Best Products of 2011 is its biggest feature story of the year. The list compiles the year’s prominent hardware, software, and services, selected from thousands of entries by PC World’s expert editorial staff.

“Being included in PCWorld’s 100 Best Products of 2011 not only reflects QNAP’s dedication in providing quality products, but also encourages us to work harder to satisfy the needs of our customers,” said Laurent Cheng, QNAP’s product manager.

The TS-259 Pro+ is chosen by PCWorld for its feature-rich operating system and high performance. The TS-259 Pro+ also received a high score of 4.5 stars out of 5 from a PCWorld review in September. The reviewer praised the speed of the TS-259 Pro+ and gave it a “PCWorld Business Ready” award.

With the new release of firmware 3.5.1, the TS-259 Pro+ provides iSCSI LUN Snapshot/Backup, an LDAP-based directory service, an antivirus solution and enhanced external drive encryption software features, which make it an ideal solution for business customers.
