ITPV Partner Leadership Awards 2011 Mesmerises North India SP Community

After successfully organising the ITPV Partner Leadership Awards in Indore, Mumbai and Ahmedabad, Techplus Media continued with its same success story in New Delhi.

Organised for the first time in the capital city, the objective behind this event was to honour the vibrant channel community and the leading as well as the emerging solution providers of the region, to recognize their leadership abilities and to listen to some of the most prominent personalities of the IT industry.The Chief Guest for the evening was Mr. Ranjan Chopra, MD – Team Computers.

The ceremonial lamp lighting by eminent dignitaries like Mr. Chopra, Mr. Arul Kumaran, Scientist-B NIC, Ministry of Communications & IT, Govt. of India; Mr. Rajesh Khurana, Country Manager, India & SAARC countries, Seagate; Mr Rishi Kumar Malhotra, President, PCAIT; Mr. V Krishnan, Executive Secretary, PCAIT; Mr. Alok Gupta, MD, Unistal Systems Pvt Ltd; Mr Atul Jain – MD Netgear India; Mr. Anuj Singhal-MD Tech Plus Media and Ms Kalpana Singhal, Editor-in-Chief, Tech Plus Media marked the beginning of the award event.

The event kick-started with some encouraging words from the man who has been the driving force behind the Tech Plus Media project, Mr. Anuj Singhal (MD Techplus Media). Talking on the occasion, he shared, “Whether it is deployment of cloud based solutions or software as a service, Indian enterprise and SME segment is surely leading the way towards adopting cutting edge IT solutions and thereby helping the IT industry move ahead and on the right track. Experts in the industry agree with us when we say that this decade surely belongs to the Asian region as a whole and solution providers or systems integrators are playing a major role in terms of taking the solutions to the end customers and helping the vendor community realize the full potential of IT.”
Thereafter, the Chief Guest for the evening, Mr. Chopra by sharing his enlightened words brought in a new lease of life to the award ceremony. His insight on the current issue of low margins was found very inspiring by the channel partners who attended the event.
Ms. Kalpana Singhal, Editor-in-Chief, Techplus Media on her part extolled the courage and out of the box thinking of the solution provider community of the region. In her speech, she said that whether, it is cloud computing, storage, security or providing data centre solutions, everything boils down to the ability of solution providers in terms of executing the critical projects.
There were altogether 44 categories of awards that were presented in 4 phases during the event. In addition, there were AV and corporate presentations from the event sponsors. The sponsors for the event were Digisol, Digilite, Canon, LG, Netgenie, Mercury, Shyam Networks and Uniline.
 Tech Plus Media also took the opportunity to felicitate one of the oldest veteran in the IT community of Delhi for the Lifetime Achievement Award category – Mr. Sanjiv Krishen of Iris Computers. Mr. Krishen was full of gratitude for giving him this recognition and said that he would continue with his work for the IT industry. To this, the audience present at the event gave him a standing ovation.
The award event concluded with the vote of thanks by Ms. Kalpana Singhal and the photo session of all the winners.

Keeping the IT channel community in mind, Tech Plus Media has for the first time taken the initiative of organising the Multicity event, the ITPV Partner Leadership Awards 2011, spanning across cities like Indore, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata and Guwahati. The regional awards have succeeded in garnering an overwhelming response.
 In appreciation of this initiative taken by Tech Plus Media, Mr. Ashish Khanna, RM – North, Canon said that the idea of honouring the channel community is in itself a very encouraging step for them as they play a very important role in bridging the gap between vendors and the end users. It is for them that companies can look at profitability and productivity more seriously now. Mr. R K Malhotra, PCAIT President remarked that since channel problems remain a big focus for their association, recognizing them at an award event like this would lend support to their cause. He also added that the company should come up with more such endeavours in future. Mr. Rajesh Khurana of Seagate too applauded the initiative of felicitating regional partners and most importantly solution providers.
 Mr. Devendra Taneja, Director, PC Solutions congratulated Tech Plus Media on organising such a remarkable show and suggested that similar activities should be pursued in near future to accommodate the channel in the overall IT landscape. The idea of felicitating regional solution providers in different categories went down well with all the people who attended the event. Mr. Amit Sharma, Manager-Sales, GoIP Global Services termed it as a nice experience as the event tried to justify the value extended to the customers as also the OEMs by these companies. Mr. Kapil Bhatia, AGM-Retail operations, Unique Infoways remarked that hearing industry veterans like Mr. Ranjan Chopra speak was indeed a very endearing experience.
