HID Global’s CTO Honoured with Global Security Contribution Award in China

HID Global has announced that its chief technology officer Dr. Selva Selvaratnam has received the Global Security Contribution Award by Global Security Industry Alliance,

 the organizing committee of China Public Security Expo (CPS Expo), and China Public Security Magazine in recognition of his industry-leading product innovations in the access control market.
 
 “Dr. Selva Selvaratnam has a long career of driving innovation through new products and solutions that anticipate customers’ evolving needs,” said Yang Jincai, Secretary-General of CPS Expo. “With Dr. Selvaratnam’s technology leadership, HID Global has developed a number of secure identity solutions that provide greater security and convenience that enhance the overall user experience.”

 Dr. Selva Selvaratnam is a technologist and businessman with 25 years of experience in the secure identity industry. During his tenure at HID Global, he has led a number of industry-leading product and solution innovations, including the company’s latest iCLASS SIO technology-enabled (SE) platform that extends physical access control beyond traditional cards and readers to provide a new level of security and portability by enabling the use of digital credentials on mobile phones and other devices. Dr. Selvaratnam holds a PhD and degree from Cardiff University, UK in embedded systems and sensors.
