Posted on October, Wednesday 19, 2011 By itVAR News Network

Digital TV software specialist Ocean Blue Software, has released a white paper that explores the future of global Connected TV technology.

The paper examines the many issues surrounding emerging Connected TV software solutions such as Android, and its potential impact on current and emerging standards such as DVB and HbbTV.

“The global Connected digital TV market is moving quickly to some level of standardisation, but there are still issues and topics to be addressed,” explains Ocean Blue’s CEO Ken Helps, “Its important to understand how this opportunity for standardisation could be affected by newer and much hyped proprietary technologies such as Android and Google TV, and what impact on the market we could expect from these technologies,” he added.

The whitepaper is available to download, free of charge, from Ocean Blue’s website: http://www.oceanbluesoftware.com/articles-aamp-publications.html
