SAP Announces Dates for SAP TechEd 2011 Bangalore

SAP AG has announced dates for SAP TechEd 2011 which enters the 15th year and is currently the longest-running technology and business process conference series.

This year the event will be held in Bangalore, India from October 19-21, 2011 at the Karnataka Trade Promotion Organization (KTPO) Trade Center.

The highlight at SAP TechEd Bangalore, besides featuring workshops, demos and technical sessions by industry forerunners, will be to showcase an exclusive ‘Made in India’ product. SAP is creating, deploying and orchestrating best in breed technologies for better business and helping make the customers’ businesses the ‘Best-Run’ in their industries. Being considered as the largest technology gathering by any corporate, this year’s TechEd Bangalore will bring together over 10,000 participants.

The platform will showcase the latest advances in in-memory and cloud computing and in mobility and analytics from SAP and its partners. SAP TechEd 2011 Bangalore will also give an overview of the SAP technology strategy and the power of its ecosystem and partner programs, as well as the company’s special focus on sustainability. A special effort will be put in to show the prowess of technology as an enabler to create societal changes and make for better collaboration through technology innovation. The event will also deliver technical education on the SAP NetWeaver technology platform, Sybase Unwired Platform and SAP Business Objects solutions.

Vishal Sikka, member of the SAP Executive Board leading technology and innovation will be delivering the keynote address. Sikka will talk on SAP HANA platform, mobile technologies and cloud computing that are fueling the intellectual renewal of SAP and its community, and will offer insight into the latest product updates and a visionary look at the future.

In addition, Anil Kumble, the czar of spin bowling and former Captain of the Indian Test Cricket team will address the guests as a special speaker. With an opportunity to attend hands-on workshops with expert-led exercises and classroom training, demo-rich lectures and partner lectures this session is scheduled to create a big excitement for all technology lovers. Globally, SAP TechEd 2011 was held in Las Vegas, Nevada from September 12-16 and is being held in Bangalore from October 19-21, Madrid, Spain, November 8-10; and Beijing, China, November 15-17.
