Channel partners shine bright at ITPV Partner Leadership Award in Indore

As ITPV set out to recognize the efforts being put in by the channel community, national, regional vendors and channel partners in the state of Madhya Pradesh converged at “ITPV Partner Leadership Award 2011” in Indore and made the event a big success. The evening was all about recognising the channel partners for their contribution in the growth of the regional IT industry.

In line with its last year’s recognition, the most awaited award in the IT industry “ITPV Partner Leadership Award 2011” by Techplus Media was back on the very same day- 16th September, 2011 in Indore at Hotel Sayaji.

Year on year ITPV Partner Leadership Award is gaining popularity. Techplus Media is the only organization to come up with this unique idea of felicitating the channel community of various regions.

This year also Techplus Media provided both the Corporate and the Channel Partners an exclusive platform to communicate, exchange ideas and make new connections.

Techplus Media has also joined hands with MPCTA to raise voice against the Governmental policy of 1 per-cent additional Entry Tax in Madhya Pradesh which has become a hindrance for the channel community. And through this event Techplus Media provided an opportunity to the IT Channel Community of Madhya Pradesh to put forward their views to Anurag Srivastava, OSD IT Dept. of MP. Witnessing the success of the previous year some new sponsors like Canon (Imaging and Digital Solution Partner), Cyberoam (Security Award Partner), Wipro (Mobile Computing Partner) and Digisol (Principal Sponsor) join hands along with our last year’s sponsors- Uniline (Power Sponsor) and LG (Display Partner) this time.  The event got an overwhelming response with presence of over 200 attendees. Tony Jhawar (MPCTA President), Anand Singh (Ex. President GCTA), Abheejoy Bakshi (Senior Manager- West, Canon) and Satish Gangurde (Manager- Marketing Programs, Canon), Biswajit Sutradhar (National Sales Manager, Cyberoam), Rajendra Thakur (Customer Support Service Engineer, Uniline), Maneesh Agarwal (Regional Sales Manager- West, Wipro) also graced the occasion.

 
There were more than 30 awards under different categories and were handed over to the winners by some prominent and eminent personas of the industry. The winners of the award has been chosen by jury members which included Tony Jhawar (Computer House), Sudhir Arora (Computer Gallery), Manish Goel (Byte Peripheral), Raj Kumar Jain (Business Automation), Rajesh Agarwal (Rashi Peripherals) and Dharmendra Yadav (Supertron).

The event started with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony by Anuj Singhal (MD Techplus Media Group), Anurag Srivastava (OSD IT Dept, Govt. of MP) and Tony Jhawar (MPCTA President).

Talking about the potential and opportunities in the state of MP, Anuj Singhal said, “The state of Madhya Pradesh holds a special importance for all of us. This state has surely gained a lot of respect as a strategic destination for I.T. investments with unmatched opportunities, culturally rich lifestyle and blissful solitude. These are some of the hallmarks of the state of Madhya Pradesh

 “Tonight is all about celebrating the true spirit of channel community and their importance for all of us. In many ways, the channel community is different from other business communities, in a way that they deal with different business dynamics which calls for implementation of different solutions, and different attitude or approach to solve issues that are of regional nature but of national importance. This is where a platform like ITPV becomes extremely important,” he added.

Kalpana Singhal, Editor, ITPV said, “The important cities of Madhya Pradesh which include Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur have developed their own niche areas of IT procurement and distribution. Presence of industries, civil services and the armed forces is helping the local channel partners better establish themselves in this region and make their mark on a national platform.”  

“Moving forward, the government is planning to develop Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Bhopal as IT focused cities. Content industry and remote services will be pro-actively and vigorously promoted in the State to position M.P. as a lead State, in the country, in this area as well as, generate large employment opportunities in IT and IT enabled services sector. In addition to this, the government is also planning to promote hardware technology parks for manufacturing units in computers, telecommunication equipment, entertainment electronics and related ancillaries would be promoted and established at Pithampur, Mandideep and Malanpur and other industrial growth centers,” she added.

To make the night more captivating it was embellished by a few outstanding performances given by different troupes. Moreover, few special video clips of the distinguished personalities of the IT industry were displayed at a regular interval for the attendees.
