Nokia Tied Up with Ra.One For Its New Smart Phones

Making a strategic move in the smartphone business, strategic move in the smartphone business – Nokia 700, Nokia 701 and Nokia 600. To create a unique and engaging experience around ‘Just Tap’ with NFC feature on the Symbian Belle devices, Nokia has tied up with Ra.One, a Red Chillies Entertainment production. 

Commenting on Ra.One’s association with Nokia, Shahrukh Khan, actor and Brand Ambassador, Nokia India said, “There is great synergy between Ra.One and Symbian Belle as they both represent technology of the next level. I am delighted that Ra.One will be the first movie in the country to be marketed through NFC. There are many path breaking initiatives that Nokia has undertaken  with Ra.One that will allow the consumers to experience the world of Ra.One through ‘Just Tap’ with NFC feature on the Symbian Belle smartphones.”

Ra.One will be the first movie in India to be marketed through a futuristic technology such as NFC. As a run up to the release of Ra.One, Nokia will launch a range of pioneering initiatives around the movie including giving consumers an opportunity to watch the movie one day ahead of its global release. Consumers can also access exclusive Ra.One content from Ovi store or by just visiting their nearest NPP and tapping their NFC enabled device with the Ra.One NFC tags. 
Commenting on the launch, D Shivakumar, Managing Director, Nokia India said, “The Indian smartphone market is growing at an exponential rate. Consumers today are looking for differentiators that go beyond multi-tasking and processor speed. With our latest range of smartphones on Symbian Belle, we are introducing a path-breaking technology in the form of ‘Just Tap’ with NFC. Today, our association with Ra.One brings alive an exciting set of experiences on NFC with Symbian Belle for our consumers.” 
Nokia’s strategy is to provide market leading NFC devices and experiences that allow the NFC ecosystem to evolve, and develop NFC services that add value to the consumer experience. Nokia is fully committed to driving the technology forward in India by creating an open ecosystem and fully interoperable environment between developers, software and service providers, and device manufacturers. With the launch of these products, Nokia now has four NFC-enabled smartphones in the market in addition to NFC enabled accessories.

While all three smartphones contain recognizable Nokia features, they each represent a very distinct set of priorities to allow users to choose what matters most in a smartphone. The most compact touch screen monoblock smartphone in the world (Nokia 700); a sleek and stylish smartphone with the world’s brightest mobile display for indoor or outdoor use (Nokia 701)and Nokia’s loudest entertainment smartphone (Nokia 600) all bring firsts to the Nokia product portfolio. 

The Nokia 600 priced at Rs. 12,999 (MRP), Nokia 700 at Rs. 18,099 (MRP) and Nokia 701 at Rs. 18,999 (MRP) is available across the country
