Now, the development of Gigabit Ethernet, extends the scalability of Ethernet even further. Now Ethernet can rapidly scale from 10 to 100 to 1000 Mbps.

Ethernet Lowers Cost

There has been a rapid overall decrease in the per-port price for Carrier grade Ethernet and Ethernet products, and for shared hub ports, the difference between their costs is coming down rapidly. As India is a price sensitive market, this is perhaps one of the biggest factor that is pushing the hearts and minds of Enterprise customers in India to go all out for Ethernet adoption and Ethernet based services at their network level.
